MIRA QUIÉN ESTÁ AYUDANDO A LOS ANIMALES: MARJORIE DE SOUSA PROTAGONIZA UNA NUEVA CAMPAÑA DE PETA LATINO
La actriz ymodelo toma un tiempo libre de su ocupada agenda en Mira Quién Baila para filmar un nuevo anuncio: ‘¡Esteriliza siempre!’

Los Ángeles – Los fans de Mira Quién Baila están acudiendo a raudales a emitir sus votos a favor de la modelo y estrella de telenovelas Marjorie de Sousa, pero hay algo más que de Sousa está pidiendo a sus fans: Siempre esterilicen a sus perros y gatos. En una nueva campaña de PETA Latino (disponible aquí), de Sousa aparece abrazando a su perro Dolce aun lado de las palabras “¡Dale a tus perros la dulce vida que merecen: Siempre esteriliza!”

En una entrevista exclusiva en vídeo con PETA Latino, de Sousa, quien dice que Dolce es su “amigo” y “amuleto de buenasuerte”, hace hincapié en que esterilizar es “súper, súper importante” y explica: “Si permitimos que la población animal siga creciendo, imaginen dónde estaremos si no nos ocupamos de esto”. Otra idea clave es adoptar – y nunca comprar – perros y gatos”. “Si estás pensando en comprar una mascota, por favor date cuenta de la situación”, dice. “Antes de comprar por favor piensa en los millones de animales que han sido abandonados en las calles y que necesitan un hogar”.

Entre 6 y 8 millones de perros y gatos no deseados ingresan a albergues cada año en EE.UU., y aproximadamente la mitadde ellos son sometidos a eutanasia simplemente porque no hay suficientes buenos hogares para ellos. La única forma de detener la indigencia animal es detener la crianza de gatos y perros. PETA Latino incentiva a todas las familias a salvar la vida de un animal adoptándolo y a siempre esterilizar a sus animales de compañía.

Model and Actor Takes Time Off From Busy Mira Quién Baila Schedule to Shoot New Ad: ‘Always Spay and Neuter!’

Los Angeles — Mira Quién Baila fans are flocking to cast their votes for model and telenovela star Marjorie de Sousa—but there’s something else that de Sousa is asking her fans to do: Always spay and neuter their dogs and cats. In a brand-new ad campaign for PETA Latino (available here), de Sousa appears cuddling her dog, Dolce, next to the words “GiveYour Dogs the Sweet Life They Deserve: Always Spay and Neuter!”

In an exclusive video interview with PETA Latino, de Sousa—who says Dolce is her “friend” and “good-luck charm”—stresses that spaying and neutering is “super, super important,” explaining, “If we keep letting the animal population grow,imagine where we’ll be if we don’t take care of it.” And another key idea is adopting—and never buying—dogs and cats. “If you’re thinking about buying a pet, please look at the situation,” she says. “Before you buy, think of all the millions of animals who have been abandoned in the streets and who need a home.”

Six to 8 million unwanted cats and dogs enter animal shelters every year in the U.S., and roughly half of them are euthanized because there simply aren’t enough good homes for them. The only way to stop animal homelessness is to stop the breeding of cats and dogs. PETA Latino encourages all families to save an animal’s life by adopting and always spaying and neutering animal companions.

De Sousa joins a long list of celebrities—including Marco Antonio Regil, Rubén Albarrán, Carla Morrison, Eva Mendes, Pablo Azar, and Kate del Castillo—who have teamed up with PETA and PETA Latino to promote kindness to animals.
