Before I knew any better, I also used to head to my local fast-food restaurant and order a chicken sandwich. But then I realized that breasts, legs, thighs, wings, and ribs are body parts—not menu items.

You can help change our obesity statistics. If you want to improve your health, while saving money and animals, steer clear of animal products at KFC, McDonald’s, and other fast-food restaurants and opt for great-tasting vegan foods instead. “Veganize” a meal at home or, if you’re on the go, try a veggie sandwich or a vegan burrito from a restaurant that offers healthier alternatives—such as Subway, Chipotle, or Moe’s Southwest Grill.
